Independent Culture Review of London Fire Brigade debated in Parliament
Following the delivery of a major review into the workplace culture in London Fire Brigade, we were delighted to see our findings debated in the House of Commons and in the House of Lords. The report was also a front page splash in the Sunday Times and the lead news item on BBC News.
Matt Baker, the founder of Rise Associates, who was the project manager for the review, led by Nazir Afzal OBE, said he was delighted that all 23 recommendations had been accepted by London Fire Brigade.
"This was the culmination of over a year's work and we engaged with over 2,000 members of staff," he said. "The review was commissioned after a trainee firefighter committed suicide and it's clear that there are major cultural problems that cannot be ignored. We hope this is the starting point for the Commissioner to drive through major changes to ensure everyone can have dignity at work."
